Needs of laboring women: tools for training desired birth companion

Presence of a birth companion through labour, childbirth and postpartum is one the universal rights child bearing women. Not only that, choice also components respectful maternity care. The characteristics women’s [desired (DBC)] well spelt by WHO as govt, India. In practice it observed that most DBC companions (DBC) who were relative, friends birthing women are unaware their roles responsibilities not prepared to render necessary maternal support. Trained or on call (OBC/Doulas) available in developing countries like India all cannot afford costs OBCs Govt hospitals do encourage participation Doulas. Hence there need train with resources health care system. This review intended search literature regarding tools for training DBCs. showed very few studies same workshops implemented across facilities.
